Notes - - In 1930, Gladys and her husband Harry were living next door to her brother, Chester.
- Gladys died in a mental institution in Farmington, Missouri. Email from Grandpa Lincecum (11 June 2008):
"...She had about six kids; the last coming just before menopause. After "the change" she was never the same again, mentally. She went to Farmington mental institution, leaving Olline and Loudean to take care of everything, including the smaller kids. She did NOT have TB or anything like that. Back in those days, they didn't know what to do with her condition, no hormones or medications were used. The oldest boy Raymond always seemed strange to me, but he was not mentally impaired; so GMa Sue says. Eventually GMa Abernathy came in and took over care of the youngest boy; she took him and raised him.
Oh yes, in High School I had a terrible crush on Loudean; made quite a conflict between cousins for a while..."
