    • - According to the 1930 Nacogdoches County, Texas Federal census, Hugo was a veteran of the first World War. Listed within the household was a step-daughter, Addlie Sikes (age 14, b. TX).

      - According to the 1940 Nacogdoches County, Texas Federal census, Hugo had a sixth grade education.

      - Per his 1971 death certificate, Hugo died at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Nacogdoches, Texas. It was also noted he was a veteran of World War I. Cause of death was acute pneumonia; carcinoma of the right lung (8 mos. duration); and generalized arteriosclerosis.
