Notes - - William Henry Peavy was one of the first founders of Byron. He also operated a farm and Walton's Grist Mill. In the late 1800s the Peavys moved to Byron, where Mr. Peavy operated a general store. He was a member of the first town council, and since then one or another direct descendant has served the town in the same capacity.
