      MRS. ANABELLE BANKS, RETIRED NURSE'S AIDE AND SEAMSTRESS
      Mrs. Anabelle West Banks, 96, of Brentwood Drive, entered into rest Friday, October 19, 2001, at Brentwood Terrace Health Center.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2001, at DeLoach Funeral Home chapel, Waynesboro, with the Rev. Wayne Dixon and the Rev. W. E. Croft Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Waynesboro.

      Mrs. Banks was a native of Sandersville, Washington County. She lived most of her adult life in Burke county. She was a retired nurse's aide, having worked at the Burke County Hospital for over 20 years and was also a seamstress. Mrs. Banks was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of Women on Mission (WOM), former pianist, song leader and Sunday school teacher for many years.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Lansdell B. Banks Sr. and three sons, Lansdell B. Banks Jr., Billy West Banks and James Louie Banks.

      Survivors include two sons, John P. Banks Jr. Rome, GA and Clifford P. Banks, Waynesboro; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

      Pallbearers will be grandsons.
