- In the book, WHO WAS WHO AMONG THE SOUTHERN INDIANS 1698 - 1907, by Don Martini, published 1998 the following is given:
LINCECUM, GRANT - White resident among the Chickasaw and Choctaw, a brother to Gideon Lincecum. He made an affidavit regarding Choctaw reserves on July 16, 1834. In November 1835 he was paid from the Chickasaw Fund as an interperter. On January 1, 1839 his family arrived in Indian Territory, the household consisting of one male aged 10 - 20, and one female of the same age.

- According to the 1850 Catahoula Parish, Louisiana Federal census, Grant had real estate valued at $3900.
- At the time of the 1860 Rapides Parish, Louisiana Federal census, Grant Lyncicum was living next to the William Hawthorn (Jr.), George Hawthorne, and Webster Hawthorn households. These were brothers of Lucinda, Grant's daughter-in-law. Harmon and Lucinda were living two doors down from Webster.
