  William Nix Bigham PFC US Army World War I Feb 23, 1891 - Dec 25, 1975 - Per his 5 June 1917 World War I draft registration card, William was described as slender, with blue eyes and brown hair. - From Texas World War I Records (via FamilySearch.org) -- William N. Bigham enlisted 27 June 1917 at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Organization: Btry D 21 FA to discharge. Grade: Pvt 1cl (23 February 1919). Served overseas: 28 June 1918 to 22 July 1919. Honorably discharged 6 August 1919. - William was in France in 1918. ["Letters From Soldiers," issued 12 September 1918, accessed 25 January 2018, name of interest: Mrs. G. P.
